The image contains two maps labeled "Norbiton industrial area now" and "Planned future development." The first map shows an industrial area with a factory located to the northeast, a town to the southwest, and farmland to the northwest. A main road runs horizontally in the center of the map with three connecting roads leading to the factory, town, and farmland. The second map illustrates planned future developments which include the addition of housing in the area currently occupied by the farmland and a playground adjacent to the housing on the northwest side. The main road and connecting roads remain unchanged, while the factory and town retain their original positions.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The Norbiton industrial area located to the east of town, is bordered by the main road to the south, and separated from Farmland in the north by a river. Factories in the area are connected by road to a central round-about that links with the main road.
The planned future development proposes a residential area with houses where there once were factories, and the necessary infrastructure for day-to-day life – a school to the east preceded by a playground, a a medical centre, and chain of shops and a medical centre – a new roundabout to encourage smooth flow of traffic, and a bridge across the river connecting houses on the farmland to the central area.
Compared to the monolith of factories, the new plan in addition to housing, also provides structures for education, recreation, commerce and healthcare while tackling the possible traffic congestion by creating more roads. It also utilises the farmland better to provide more housing.
