Band 5: The map below shows the size of classes in primary (elementary) schools in four states in Australia in 2010. (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The illustrations depict how the primary classes have been changed in Australia between 2010 and the present day.

Overall, the classes have undergone several noticeable developments,the most important of which are the relocation of three sets of tables and chairs and the addition of play area and shelves.

In the middle of the classes, there used to be three sets of tables and chairs in a straight line in 2010. Currently, the set nearest the entrance has been moved a little to the left, replacing the old play area, whereas a new shelf has been added to its further left. The second set of tables and chairs has remained intact while the former teacher room next to its left has been removed to make way for the last set. Walking a little further, the shelves which are put along the windows but after that they have been rearranged to face the new one.

Moving to the right of the classes, four facilities namely the child sink, adult sink, art area and white board together with two play areas at the opposite corner at the back have witnessed no changes.
