The supplied maps depict the Franton inside environment change from 1990 to 2012. Considering the given data, it can be seen that the majority of buildings in the park experienced modernization, like in the case of replacing the theatre with the cinema.
In 1990, along the high street road opposite the cafe and park and beneath the playing field with trees located the hospital, which was surrounded by a school in the north west, a bank on the left, and the library from below. At the very bottom, the forest was located, which was directly opposite the theatre. On the very right side of the Frenton, adjacent to the cafe and park situated the biggest place in the area – the houses. Right beneath them, on the south, there were the shops.
During the next 22 years, only a few areas were not replaced: the school, library, and the hospital, only the latter doubled its size. Most of the buildings and areas were replaced by their modern versions, like trees area by technopark, shops by the supermarket, and houses by the block of flats, which was also built in the place where the paying field was back in the 1990s. After all these changes, only one small building was constructed – the flats.
