The map illustrates the significant transformation of a small village into a larger town from 1980 to 2012. Overall, Milton has evolved from a tiny village to a more populous and developed town over a span of 22 years. During this time, numerous changes occurred in the village.
In 1980, Milton had fewer residential properties and a greater presence of trees and greenery. A high street ran through the middle of the village, dividing it into eastern and western parts. The western side featured a school, a playground, a bank, a hospital, and many trees. In contrast, the eastern side included a park, a café, and several shops located at the southeast corner. Additionally, there were plenty of houses built in the southern part of the village.
By 2012, the village had undergone dramatic changes. The former playground was replaced by modern flat facilities. On the eastern side of the main street, the town developed a techno park as well as a restaurant. Furthermore, the park and café in the east were transformed into a hotel and a golf course. Finally, a supermarket replaced the previously existing shops, reflecting the town’s growth and modernization.
