The map delineates the gradual process of development that Milton village went through over a period of 32 years since 1980.
On scrutinising the map minutely, it is observed that in the initial years from 1980 there were green spaces around the village which was considerably, replaced by a techno park in 2012. Furthermore, a similar trend was witnessed with flats being constructed on the playground in the later years due to a substantial increase in the number of residents at Milton. However, the school and hospital still remained at their original setting.
Thereafter, across the high street, as Milton grew into a major town, the hotel and golf course were transformed into thean advanced version of park and cafe. Moreover, the residential area was re-built into multi-storeyed flats to accommodate the ever- rising population. In regard to this fact, a shops were substituted by a big supermarket. Another significant shift noticed was that a food restaurant was inaugrated at the same location where the bank existed in the 1980s.
Overall, it can be inferred that Milton underwent a drastic shift and experienced a rise in residential area as well as other civic amenities almost over 3 decades , modelling it into an immense urban centre.
