The map series illustrates how meadowside village and fonton, which is nearby town, have developed from 1992 to the present.
Overall both fonton and meadowside village was increase in size over the year until they evently merged together, at which point meadowside became suburb. Furthermore , there have been significance changes in the infrastructures , housing and facilities over the period given.
In 1992 both meadowside and fonton have completely separate with no roads or rail connecting them. While fonton railway line running to the north, meadowside located to the west of fonton, only had a small road from the west.
By 1985, the area underwent considerable development. Meadowside Village expanded, and a housing estate was constructed to the west of the village. To the east, a leisure complex was added, enhancing community amenities. A superstore was also built to the south, along a newly constructed road that provided a direct link to Fonton. These developments signified the area’s shift from a rural village to a more suburban setting.
Currently meadowside is known as meadowside suburbs after joining fonton. Between both places have a hotels, station and business park have been built on either side of railway line.
