The maps illustrate how the seaside town of Templeton transformed between 2000 and 2013.
Overall, it is clear that the town underwent several vital industrialization and transformations over the given period to become more modern and developed.
Looking firstly at the area situated to the east of the river, several key infrastructures remained unchanged, including school, hospital, bridges and car parking. However, the residential area which is originally contained trees and houses were cleared to make a way for factory, while the railway in the east of the town was extended south. Additionally, a new ferry service was introduced in the sea nearby to upgrade water transport. The airport was constructed northwest of the school with new houses being constructed just to the north of the hospital by 2013.
Turning to the western part of the resort, it demonstrated several anthropogenic structural changes.Between the sea and the extension of the railway along the sea front, the houses and trees have a gave way to more blocks of flats and a supermarket. In the north-west, even though the old houses and trees were preserved, the green space around the lake had been replaced by new blocks of flats by the end of the period.
