The map compares the transformation of a local park over the period of 10 years.
Overall, apart from children’s recreational services, the village park offered more entertainment areas for adults, such as coffee shop and picnic area. The key changes include enlarging sport areas, building more attractive services, and replacing the woods by new amenities.
At the top of the map, recreational areas, which is above the football pitch has significantly developed over the period of time. The car park is in the park was broadened from 20 to 50 in capacity. Moreover, the scale of tennis courts is in to right hand of the car park and in front of the football pitch was also enlarged. On the right edge of the park, the children’s play area was converted into three areas. The children’s entertain area was shortened and removed to the top right conner of the map, the children’s soft play area and the toilets were constructed along same edge of the local park, being below the children’s playing area, respectively.
In terms of the below of the map, it can be seen that more facilities were offered. The football pitch remained unchanged position, located in the park’s centre, yet being expanded. In the below left conner of the pitch, a new picnic was constructed. In addition, the pond and the woods at the below right conner of the map were destroyed and replaced by a new boating lake and a café, respectively. Furthermore, while the entrance’s position remains, the cycle path was completely eliminated.
