The maps illustrates the evolution of the village of Ryemouth since 1995.
In general, the countryside has undergone significant development maintaining most of its original features while introducing new ones and enhancing its infrastructure. The evolution involved the additiion of morning fish boot, yacht, car park and tennis course. Furthemore, some older buildings removed and replaced by new amenities.
Initially, in 1995, the village offerred a limited range of amenities but boasted more greenary. The road which was located in the sea and its flanked by morning fish boots on the bottom side. The fish market and coffee center situated at the bottom of the left-hand side, whereas the sport center positioned oppposite to the former, and the hotel was also adjacent to the latter. Next to the hotel, there were a public area with lush environment. The dwellings and farm land occupied the west and east corner at the top, respectively.
In recent years, this rural area has been modernized in the expense of the greenary area that once privailed. While the sea remained unchanged , the morning fish boots replaced by yachts. Additionally, the coffee center retained, but the fish market made way for the six-block apartments, whike the restaurant has been occupied in the space of the sport center, and hotel has extended. The public park and forests changed by holiday homes , and the car park has constructed at the bottom right of the map. In addition, housing zone expanded, and the farm land substituted by golf course and tennis course and forest has been built.
