The maps provided compare the difference s in the village of Ryemouth from 1995 to th e present.
Overall, there wa s a notable and significant development recorded in the Ryemouth village. Most places were replaced and involved, except only for the coffe e shop, which rem a ined relatively unchanged. From a simple village surrounded by a lot of trees in 1995, it became more modern and cont ained a huge number of facilities dedicated to the people there.
In the northeast corner, there was a desolate farmland in 1995, before turning int o a golf co urse and a tennis co urt. In 1995, a public park existed in the heart of the village, surro unded by tons of trees. Then, it was replaced b y a row of houses which are used for holida ys. Following that, the hotel, which stood nearby the public park in 1995, was a small and cramped hotel, before bein g reconstructed and developed into a bigger and more spacious hotel. A car park was built in the east of the village.
Following the path from th e car park, when it come to the three-way junction, turning right and taking the first left, there w as a block of houses which expanded from just 2 rows of houses in 1995. Nearby it, the ar ea for sport changed to restaurants. In the three-way junction, turning left, there was a fish market, before becoming a block of apartments. However, the coffee shop next to this has retained its original placement throughout the period. At the bottom of the map, the morning fish boat and the road leading to it have been removed and replaced by yachts.
