The maps show how the area has changed before and after the construction of a hydroelectric power plant.
Overall, there have been significant changes in the area. Some features remain the same, but others have been replaced by new industrial facilities.
Originally, a river ran through the middle of the area. In the northeast, there were mountains, and a forest was located to the west of the mountains, next to the river. Below the forest, there was a national park, and in the southwest, a historical castle was located diagonally opposite the mountains. A bridge connected the two sides of the river. On the eastern side, farmland was situated between a village and the mountains, with the village close to the bridge.
After the hydroelectric power plant was built, the area changed a lot. A lake was formed in the river, below the mountains and forest. A hydroelectric dam was also built at the river’s mouth. The national park was replaced by a power plant, and the historical castle was replaced by a transmission tower. On the eastern side, the farmland was removed, and a hotel was built instead. However, the forest, mountains, village, and bridge stayed in the same places.
