The maps illustrate the substantial transformations in the area before and after the construction of a hydroelectric power plant.
Overall, the zone has undergone considerable modernization. Particularly, several new industrial facilities are replaced some of the original features; however, many features remain the same.
In the past, the river was in the center of the area from north to south. Further to the south-east, a farmland was located between the mountains and the village. The northeast and southwest corners of this estate had mountains and a forest, respectively. A national park was situated below the forest, and adjacent to a historical castle stood in the southwest. Additionally, there was a bridge connecting the western and eastern riverbanks.
Following the construction of the hydroelectric power plant, the zone has undergone significant modifications. Firstly, a lake has been formed along the river. Furthermore, the hydroelectric dam has been built at the river’s mouth, meanwhile, the national park and historical castle have been replaced by a power plant and transmission towers. To the east, the hotel has been constructed where it used to be farmland. However, the bridge has not been destroyed, and the forest, village and mountain have remained in the same places.
