The two pictures given delineate the present layoutof an industrial site and the redeveloping plan of it.
Looking from a perspective, it is readily apparent that there are significant changes in the new design of the industrial site to meet the increasing demands of residents. However, some old places will undergo no change.
Looking more closely at the first picture, the present site is covered by four streets, which are Chimmey Road on the North, Pie Walk on the East, Swallow Street on the South, and Toe Lane on the West. On the Chimmey Road is an entrance and a reception which is in the middle of the Northern side of the picture as well as near the yard. A circular parking place is put to the right of Toe Lane and close to the yard, too. Being parallel to Swallow Street is a building including six distinct offices and a large canteen; moreover, a huge factory is built right next to it.
On the development plan, the parking and the storage will be erected to make room for 3-bedroom house on the Northwest and 4-bedroom house on the Southwest for further usage. Three rooms for a 2-bedroom house and will be replaced with the entrance and the reception as well. Additionally, the East factory will be removed and replaced by a brand-new parking area and an apartment. Lastly, the previous building which is near Swallow Street will be changed into a parking garage.
