The city is divided by a river, with the western riverside suitable for living facilities, and the eastern side is focused on public and business activities. Overall, the development of new buildings and the rearrangement of prior facilities are evident over the period.
In 1980, the left riverside comprised housing on the top corner, a city park located between housing and the upstream of the river, a school building which was equal to the housing and city park lengths, and a traditional market at the bottom near the only bridge that existed at that time. Meanwhile, across the river on the right side, there were bus and train stations on the top right, an industrial complex was small on the bottom left corner beside the old town, which was near the downstream of the river.
Nowadays, on the same location, housing is expanding, occupying the previous half of the school building on the bottom. City park has shrunk to half. The school is now a 3-story building and has built a new school fitness complex and a new bridge that connects to the eastern riverside. The traditional market and the old bridge remain the same as in the 1980s. Whereas bus and train stations are also half the size compared to their previous ones, and a new government office replaces the other half on the eastern side. The industrial complex has doubled in size, affecting the old town, which has become smaller. Lastly, an art center has been built next to the old town, just beside the river.
