The maps illustrate how Frenton was reconstructed between 1990 and 2012.
Overall, it can be seen from the graph that green areas were replaced to new buildings, only school and hospital remained as previous. In addition, the town became more residential, by means of houses which was built.
According to the blueprint of Frenton, playing fields with trees were demolished and built block of flats and on the other part of high street was consturcted flats which is located in the north side. In the west side, bank was converted into restaurant. The trees to the north west of the town were cleared to make way for technopark.
Hotel and golf course was developed beside the High Street in 2012. However, there were cafe and park in 1990. Near the hotel is located blocks of flats which was houses in 1990. Theatre and shops renamed. The former to cinema and the latter to supermarket.
