Overall, it is clear that the city became more modernization and urbanization, with a great investment in accommodation and substantial reduction in green space.
There was some major changes in the west of the city. Initially, the west of High Street area was built-up slightly. One of the remarkable changes was the demolition of playground and trees in the north of the city and converting it to blocks of flats and apartments. Moreover, the nearby hospital was increased in size dramatically.Whereas school and library was remain unchanged, a bank which is to the south of the school was replaced by the restaurant. In addition, the another development is that trees in the corner of Frenton had been cut down and made into technopark in 2012.
In the east side of High Street, the cafe and park which is next to the main road was turned into hotel and golf course. The theatre and shops in the south-east of this city was removed and built a cinema and supermarkets. The final development was the change from houses to flats in the top right-corner of the map.
