The maps show the development of Frenton in the period from 1999 to 2012.
Overall, what stands out from given maps is that there were changes throughout the given period, there were few features remained unchanged.
In 1990, there were a cafe and park then it transformed to a hotel and golf course in the period of 2012. The previous houses constructed into blocks of flats. Later, in the north area just near the road, new flats were built. Below the complex, the theatre and shops changed into a cinema and supermarket, respectively.
Moreover, in the west side of high street, the bank had been demolished, making way for a new restaurant and technopark. In both periods the school and library remained. There were playgrounds with trees to the north of town in 1990 after twenty two years these playing fields had been replaced with blocks of flats. In the meantime, the only building that has been expanded in size is the hospital.
