The provided plan compares the design of a bookstore in 2000 and now. Overall, it is evident that the primary structure is still remained through out the period. However, the most remarable change is the rearrangement of book categories.
Looking at the north side of the bookstore, the bookshelf for fiction was added other types of books consisting of art, hobbies and cookery, which initially placed on the three bookshelves in the middle of the store. Additionally, the big shelf on the right wall, which initially stored fiction books, recently contain non-fiction ones. However, the position of the entrance and travel book case still remain unchanged.
Regarding to the remaining of the bookshop, three bookshelves positioning in the centre was replaced with three sets of tables and chairs. The case for non-fiction in the bottom of the plan was converted into a cafe. By contrast, shelf for new books and the service desk maintain their positions at the left corner of the shop over the period.
