The two maps shown illustrate the changes made to a school, from the year 1985 till reacent days.
Overall, the school has increased the number of rooms, while decresing the size of the playing fields. This change is comprehansible regarding the growth in the school population. In 1985 the school consisted of 1,500 students, while the more reacent map shows a population of 2,300 students.
A noticeble change is the shape of the car park and the removal of the smaller car park.It started as reqtangle and transformed in to a semi-circle. The car park is still hugged by a road, but now it doesnt connect the entrance and exit road to the playing fields. On its’ plase there are planted a few trees.
While the office and the clasroom block have kept their places, all of the other rooms have been moved or changed. The space of the library now consists of two rooms: a Learning Reasorces centre and a Computer room inside it.
There are now two spaces labled as classrooms, instead of one, and the classroom block had and increase by one storey. The new classrooms are located right above the Pool, the Fitness centre and the Playing fields. The Playing fields also had a change, they halved in size.
