The two maps illustrate a manufacturing area in one town and how it will look after redevelopment.
Overall, the site will be completely transformed as it will become residential rather than industrial. The factories will be demolished and dwelling houses will be set up instead, while the neighbourhood will enjoy improved infrastructure, including the construction of new road links.
To begin, five plants to the east will be knocked down and replaced by three houses with a rectangular playground next to them to attract families with children. To cater to the needs of new residents a school in the east end will be developed. Then, an existing system of roads will be improved by adding a small roundabout to the south of the main road. To the east of it, a hospital will be introduced. On the other side of the smaller ring road there will be a shopping area for the locals.
Next, three more factories in the centre will be pulled down and more housing will be introduced, which will require the construction of a new road to the west. A new bridge will cross the river, allowing access to the area where farmland is located. A large block of flats will be built there. To link the new residential area via the bridge with the centre the current ring round will be extended to the north.
