The two maps below illustrate the current state of an industrial area in the town of Norbiton and the plan for its future conversion.
Overall, the small town of Norbiton is vastly made of industrial facilities with one long with highway that connects most of the factories. With this in mind, the future plan for the town is to be fully converted into a functional residential area with a school, shops and a medical center.
Currently, there is only a single road that forms a rotunda around the town center and can be used to reach the eastern side. Furthermore, the northern part of the town has no accessible roads to the farmland located beyond the river. Whereas, the proposed outline is to create more highways including a bridge across the river to expand the town.
At the present, the town is purely of industrial use with factories surrounding the roundabout with more of the same buildings on either side of the road. Conversely, the tentative development plan is to replace the factories into residential buildings, all the while adding facilities such as a school with a nearby playground. Moreover, the town center is projected to have shops and a medical center. Lastly, with the new bridge the town is expected to increase housing beside the farmland.
