The maps illustrate the industrial area of Norbiton town in the present day and how it will be transformed into a large residential area in the future. Overall, it can be seen that the place that is being covered by factories will experience a complete takeover by a large number of housings and additional amenities, and newly-built roads will be extended from the roundabout in the center.
Currently, the factories are located in the eastern part of the town, spreading along the interior road connected to a roundabout that is placed in the center of the industrial zone. To the north of the river is a large area of farmland.
In the future, the most striking change will be the whole industrial area to be made way for residential buildings. A smaller roundabout will be constructed in the middle of the exterior road, and a small revenue will be expanded in the southwest, making a pathway from new buildings to the central roundabout. Crossing the river and stretching towards the farmland, a new road will be extended from the larger roundabout so that residents living at the north will be able to commute to the other side of the river. Basic amenities and entertaining facilities will be added all over the central area.
