The presented maps illustrate an industrial area in the town of Norbiton and its proposed future redevelopment.
Overall, all factory buildings are planned to be replaced with residential ones. Additionally, new facilities will be introduced. Similarly, a roundabout, a new road, and a bridge are expected to be constructed in Norbiton.
Currently, the town consists of eight identical factories: three of them are located near the roundabout, while the others are situated along the eastern road. However, the redevelopment plan proposes converting all factories into residential areas. Specifically, the three industrial buildings near the roundabout and the three along the eastern road will be replaced with housing in almost the same locations. Additionally, two residential areas are expected to be expanded, and one will be relocated to the northern side of Norbiton, across the river.
A new road is planned to be built northwest of the roundabout, and a smaller roundabout is expected to be added in the southern part of the town. Similarly, a bridge is predicted to be constructed on the opposite side, connecting the farmland to the town. Moreover, shops and a medical center are projected to be introduced between the two roundabouts. Furthermore, a school and a playground are forecast to be built on the eastern side of the town.
