Overall, there are some new changes of stores location and area functional in the new city. Another change that has been made is some new added facilities in the city centre area. Hereby, the condition of city centre today has been developed more compare to 2000.

In 2000, the road in front of the city were functioned for the transportation passing. However, today, the function has changed where people could take a walk only on this road. On the other side, another change that has been made is an old market is moved to another side of the square and change into a modern market. While, the remaining place is used for a new shop. Behind the new shop is just an empty spot because the train station has been vanished.

What remain the same are the location of university and the port. On contrary, some new facilities have been built such as half of residence building right beside the university, new shopping centre replacing the green area, new train station in front of the university, restaurant across of the new shop, bars right beside the pedestrian road, tramline which connect between the building beside the university to the city centre, and today around the square, people can rent the bike to stroll the city.
