Overall, this department had undergone a number of significant changes which include the extension of the entire floor. One more noteworthy is the addition of a few more specialized rooms.
In 1980, the main entrance was linked with the corridor with only three seminar rooms located on both sides, two on the left and one on the top right. At the bottom right corner were two smaller rooms, library and office respectively. Besides, there was an area with many trees to the east of the department.
Over the 30 year period, the department had a new car park at the right side of the main entrance. The department had been expanded with two new seminar rooms at each top corner.
