The two maps present the layout of Huntingdon as it is now and how it is expected to be in the future.
Overall, Huntingdon is going to witness various transformations, most notably with the enhancement of traffic infrastructure and the appearance of industrial areas.
Regarding the road systems, the railway system running from south to north will remain but be expanded with two additional tracks installed in the north. To the northwest of Huntingdon, there is a connection between a roundabout and an A1 road in the near future. While in the bottom, part of the A1 road is likely to be halved into two lanes, simultaneously one of them will be converted into the A14 heading southeast. The A14, in turn, will become a roundabout linking Brampton road, railway station and town centre.
In terms of multipurpose facilities, a newly constructed industrial estate will be located in the north of Huntingdon, resulting in the removal of the airfield. Simultaneously, there is a ring road around town centre undergoing a slight adjustment in shape. Meanwhile, the built-up area nearby, which is a complex of residential and commercial facilities, will remain intact.
