The maps provide information about how an area of a village changed from 1910 to 2010.
Overall, the place underwent significant development (witnessed dramatic changes?)with new housing areas and facilities, while a green space was cleared.
On the 1910 map, there were three roads forming a triangle. On the right side of High Street, which ran from west to east, there were two houses at the opposite ends, on the other side, there was one house in between a grocery and bakery, with an abundance of trees adjoining them and a large tree in the middle. A school, church and another house were situated along school road, while a post office in the corner was the only building on London Road.
It can also be seen from the map that along both sides of High Street houses were constructed, replacing the bank on the left. In addition, the grocer’s store was converted into a cafe. The large green area was removed to build a residential area, which was also constructed on the other side of London Road. While the post office and school remained untouched, the bank was replaced with a house, as well as the church with a community parking.
