The two maps illustrate the center of Birshire town as it is now and after reconstruction.
Overall, the area will shift from a predominantly agricultural settlement to a more urbanized and modernized region. Strikingly, the expansion of housing and the replacement of cultivation areas for new amenities will be the most significant changes during the period.
In the left side of Birshire town, which is on the left of the McGoldrick Road, there is a Farmer’s market located on the right corner now. Residents live most next to a side road of McGoldrick Road and a row of shops is erected on the bottom of the road. In the future, the Farmer’s market is planned to be demolished and a small road will branch off from McGoldrick Road. The residential area has expanded with more houses, replacing the shops and the small road will be extended.
The right side of the town, at present, Griffiths Farm, is surrounded by Corbie Road and That Street. Hoolahan Farm is located in the center-right of the map, and at the bottom of it is a public park on the left and an open field on the right. In the future plan, Hoolahan Farm will be transformed into a car park, a sports center will be constructed at the expense of the open field, while Griffiths Farm will be replaced by a supermarket. Furthermore, a roundabout will be introduced at the intersection of McGoldrick Road and That Street.
