Overall, the city has undergo considerably developed by constructing more buldings. Despite the modernization, the area has become residental.
In 2000, most of the space in the city was empty, especially the port that occupied large free area. There was the road for vehicles in front of the port. The core of the city had devoted for city centre and on the left-hand side the old market. On the opposite of old market the train station was situated. There were trees on the right corner with university located on the top of the city.
Currently, the area of the town takes facilities. Now the port has restaurant, bars and clubs, the road for transport has transformed into the path for pedestrians only. Old market that was located in the left hand side from the city centre was covered and displaced to the right. In the place of old market new shop was built. New train station also was constructed nearly with the hall of residents in the left corner of the city. The university remain the same except the tramline that connected to city center. In front of university the trees was felled and new shopping centre was built.
