The given two maps illustrate the existing scenario and how it will look after the development of a little town centre named Islip. From an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that, the plan focused more in ensuring transportation facilities to the community with the introduction of bus station, vehicle parking and by the increased accessibility of roads as well.
At present, there is a straight main road from west to east connecting with two adjacent streets heading toward school and park. The road is planned to be transformed into a dual carriage ring road by connecting the two adjacent roads and placing a new bypass road to the North.
The main road transformed into pedestrian only road in the plan. The seven small shops on the north side of the main road turned into a shopping centre with bigger space compared to present form. The shopping centre also get facilitated by a bus station and a parking space for cars where the shops at the opposite side will remain the same. The plan put emphasis on the housing, as two new space is planned to include at northwest and southeast side of the map.
