The exhibited maps illustrate how the Harton town has transformed throughout a period of 8 years, commencing from 2008.
Overall, this region underwent several significant modifications, particularly with the conversion of some areas and the replacement of others.
In 2008, there had been a river running from the southwest to the northeast of the town. Besides, the town had featured three separate residential areas: one in the northwest corner, one in the central area on the west side of the river, and the last one in the far south of the town. Meanwhile, an arts centre had been situated between two housing areas which were located in the north of the river, and to the art center’s east had been a school. Derelict warehouses had been positioned in the far north of the town, while the old town had laid between the warehouses and the school. In the northeast of the town, there had been a woodland, and to its south, a lake had been connected directly to the river. The industrial complex had been located in the middle of the town beside the river to the east
In 2018, the residential area staying by the west of the river and the art centre transformed into a shopping center and a muilti-screen cinema, respectively. Furthermore, derelict warehouses were replaced with car parks and the old town was demolished, instead constructing offices and a university. The woodland was enlarged at the expense of the lake to a pond. On the south side, the industrial complex was enlarged at the elimination of the residential areas.
