The map depicts the urban transformation of the town of Wetherby between 2000 and 2016.
Overall, most buildings in the city have been repurposed, transformed or built in place of others. Only the woodland in the northwestern part of the town has remained unchanged.
In the central area of Whetherby, south of Main Street, the open air food market has been repurposed into a supermarket. To the left of the supermarket, a multi-storey car park was built in place of shops. In front of the supermarket, trees have been added to the square. West of the supermarket, where a house with gardens once stood, a hotel with a spa was built.
In 2000, in the southern district, stood an office block on the south-western size and cottages with gardens were opposite the office block. By 2016 the cottages with gardens were replaced by a single office block.
In the northern area of the town, the farmland was replaced by a housing complex. The woodland remained unchanged. To the right of the woodland, houses were turned into a block of flats. Lastly, in the north-eastern zone, a disused car factory was replaced with a techno park.
