The adjustments that the local area named Wetherby underwnent between 2000 and 2016 are demostrated in the maps.
As an overall statement, it can be observed that there were significant changes in Wetherby town as some places converted, some areas revamped and the office block was enlarged, while the location of woodland was unchanged.
Looking closely at the details, there were some changes on the northern side of Wetherby for a period of 16 years. In 2016, housing complex was converted and farmland was removed. Nevertheless, the woodland was retained from 2000 to 2016. Aside from that, the houses which located at the northest of the town was revamped into a block of flats. Futhermore, in 2016, disused car factory was knocked down for techno park to be built. Additionally, the house with gardens was totally removed and replaced by hotel with spa.
Turning into the next details, at the southern part of Wetherby town, there was also some big alterations. Specifically, the open-air food market was developed to a supermarket. Though the square was not changed, it was added with trees. Moreover, shops were removed to build a multi-storey car park. Lastly, in 2016, the office block was expanded to occupy the entire south side of the town. This means the cottages with gardens were already demolished.
