The maps illustrate how a town changed before and after constructing a hydroelectric power dam over a twenty-year period beginning in 1990.
In general, the town had undergone significant change over the given period, marked by the development of electricity infrastructure, expansion of residential areas, and notable alterations to the river and surrounding land.
Looking first at the layout in 1990, there was a river in the middle of the map, dividing the town into two distinct sections. On the western side of the river, the landscape featured a mountain, a forest, an ancient structure, and farms dedicated to rare plants and animals. The eastern side comprised irrigated farmlands, mountainous terrain, and several villages.
Moving on to the 2010 map, this town had witnessed an expansion to the south, and the river had been narrowed, flowing from the centre to the southern part of the town. Along the river, eight electricity installations had been built, six on the left and two on the right side of the river. On the right of the river, villages were constructed below two electricity installations. A new hydroelectric power dam was built at the river’s heart, becoming a central feature of the town. Additionally, a new hotel was constructed to the east, replacing the former village area. In the upper part of the town, most existing facilities, except for the mountains, were removed to create a new lake designed for sailing and fishing.
