The two maps provides information in relation to the transformation in a town after a hydroelectric power dam was constructed.
As is observed, the town witnessed a significant changes, shifting from a rural valley fill with key features like ancient structure, farmland and inhabitant into a place which served recreational activities in addition electricity generated from a dam.
In 1990, the river flowed from the North to the South with mountains bothered on both sides. In the Northern side, there was a dense of forest and a set of ancient structure located near the river bank. Further the downstream, mid East of the river, an irrigated farmlands occupied the land and opposite it was the zone for rare plants and animals to live. Interestingly, a villages was situated in the Eastern side, at the based of mountains.
By 2010, a significant changes had taken place, a hydroelectric dam was built at the narrowest point of the river dragging down to the South. Subsequently, a man-made lake was formed, thereby upstream area was completely flooded. Notably, the river was used for fishing, as indicators by the presence of a boat. Additionally, a hotel is placed at the eastern side next to the lakeshore, while the electricity pylons were installed downstream. Finally, despite considerable changes, the village still remained intact.
