The maps illustrate how a town called Dalton changed from 1815 to 2015.
Overall, this town underwent a number of significant changes, the most important of which were the addition of new facilities and the building of new residential areas.
Looking first at the town in 1815, there was a forest called Dalton in the west of the map, while a river was located to the right of it. Besides, a number of trees were planted on the right of the river. There used to be a hall farm built in the south of the town, with some houses and a hall being built to the right of it. Finally, a river named Dai was situated in the south of the town.
Regarding the town in 2015, the western forest was completely cleared to make way for a residential housing and an industrial zone. Moreover, a hospital was also constructed to the right of this housing area, while a new bridge was built to connect traffic from both sides of the river. The hall farm was also demolished and replaced by a a school and another residential area, while a new hotel and an airport were constructed in the east and the north of the town, respectively.
