The architectural site plan compares the change in Grand Park throughout years by giving two images from 1920 and today, respectively.
Overall, location of elements is almost the same, but there are also some element differences.
In 1920, it can be seen that park had three rose gardens, but today, one of them still exists. For example, one of the rose gardens that was on left replaced by a cafe space. Next to the cafe a children’s play area was designed in the location of pond water plants which existed in 1920. There was a glasshouse space at the first stage, it was also replaced by a water feature.
The fountain space which was middle of the park was canceled at today’s design decisions, so a square rose garden and seating areas around it were designed there. Also, stage for musicians was extended to an amphitheater for concerts, which includes seating areas in this design decision in today’s plan.
There were some elements that were unchanged, such as two opposite entrances. Hence, a new entrance was added to underground car park
