The two maps illustrate the developments that occured at the waterfront area of Darwin in 2009 and 2014.
Overall, the waterfront area had been significantly changed, with a construction of new buildings and making an area much greener.
In 2009, the majority of an area was an industrial area, with residential buildings nearby. Through the top and the left side of the map, fishing area is located, which covered both sea and landscape of a town. Next to the sea, there were two large swimming pools. In the centre of the town, there were a small lake, woodland, an industrial area, which covered with footpath. In addition, school and convention center were situated near to a lake.
By 2014, there had been huge changes in Darwin. Firstly, all industrial area were replaced by woodland and a small swimming pool in the centre of the town. Residential buildings doubled in size, while other facilities remained unchanged. Next to the residential buildings, university building was added. Finally, a harbour was built in the sea, with a footpath that connect to woodland.
