Overall, the town has become more congested than before with increased urbanization over the period. Moreover, an enlarged road network has been built with modern facilities to serve the people of Kalosia Town.
In 1950, the town only had few houses mostly in the western part, and a church was located in the centre. A main road connected the town to the north, whereas there were a fewer shops and restaurants in the south near the fishing harbour.
However, at present, the main road has become wider facilitating more vehicle entering the town from the north.Additionally a new road which connects to the rest of the island has also been introduced in the northeast. Meanwhile, a plethora of houses has been constructed in both parts of the town, making the town less spacious than before. The fishing harbour has been replaced with public beach. However, the church remained in it’s original location.
