The map illustrate the changes that took place in the village of Stokeford between 1930 and 2010.
Overall, the village experienced significant development during this period. Most of the farmland was replaced by houses and several new roads built. However some facilities such as the bridge, post office, and primary school remained the same location.
In 1930, Stokeford was a small rural village surrounding by farmlands. There are shops located near post office in the west side of road. A large house with gardens situated in the southeast. While the primary school was located east of the central road. Farmland covered much of the surrounding east and south of the village.
By 2010, the village had become much populated. The farmland was replace by house. The shops near by post office had been remove and replaced by housing. In addition, the large house and garden in southeast converted into retirement house. Despite those changes, the bridge crossing the river, primary school and post office remained unchanged.
