The illustrations feature a number of alterations of a village took place in Stokeford between 1930 and 2010.
Generally, this village in Stokeford experienced significant changes through 80-year period. Particularly the most notable transformation of the farmland in 1930 to residential area underwent the most notable change, while other features including school, post office maintained their stable during the period.
In 1930, Stokeford’s village was still a land of agriculture with two extensive farmlands, a large garden, and also to the west side, there was the location of Stoke river, crossed by a bridge and flowing along the village. From the west to the east, there was a cattle farm built near by the southside of the river that the water source can be used for various livestock purposes. To the north of this farm, a post office and several shops located there, surrounding by scattered houses where citizens purchase and receive the postal service. Turning to the north-left of a long path in the middle, opposite to, was the place of another livestock farm, located up the northeast of this village and was opposite to the southwest farmland. In front of the second farmland, the only one primary school was constructed and separated to the farm. There was also a garden house which was established with the large accommodation surrounded by the gardens, where people the host canyon life with plant trees and their own natural space.
In 2010, the village faced a range of changes with the expansion development of residential place due to the reduction of farming and cultivation. The Stoke river seem to be unchanged but the farm which nearby to its rightside was demolished, becoming a new residential are with a long scattered house took place both side of the path. Additionally, shops was knocked down to expand the accommodation and the accommodation to the left and the second livestock farm also to the extent this path them to the right. The primary school still located on the old last space but now be renovated upgraded to three- teaching building. On the South of the school, the garden-house renovation was another population effect, which the garden or planting cultivation area was narrowed and retirement houses were repurposed to retirement, where olders can stay a peaceful after be retire from farming jobs.
