The maps depict changes having taken place in Stokeford during an 80-year period in two years (1930 and 2010). Overall, a significant rise in the number of residential sites can be identified, while there were reductions in commercial and agricultural features.
In 1930, the village comprised large farmlands, a small primary school, two shops, and a post office. On the residential side, by 2010 the village had witnessed great renovations and had been modernized, developing residential houses in number according to today world’s desire.
By 2010, the region had faced demolition of farmlands to make larger space for additional houses. Similarly, the shops had been substituted for houses with local access for the citizens, which causes the removal of commercial features from the village. to improve educational facilities, the primary shool had been enlarged. Another step of refurbishments was taking up the space of large houses and converting into the retirement which was allocated for the eldery population of the village and construting houses along side of the main street across the retirement house, meeting the needs of the larger number of people; By marked contrast, the post office stayed unchanged.
