The layout above shows the changes happened in Langley town in the period between 1910 and 1950.
Overall, the modification touched all town, except jordan street that was in the west part, cutting the town from the north to the south; also they kept sherman street that is in the middle of the town, crossing the town from the east to the west.
The old map included two main roads: sherman street and jordan street. Both sides of the sherman street were included houses, but there is a cafe at the end south line of houses; opposite wecan see a luandry, and a store next to it.
Behind the library there is a wasteland, and a factory in the other side, and behind the cafe there is a railway workers’ cotteges, and a wasteland next to it. Rgarding jordan street it was sorrounded by houses as well.
Many changes took place throughout the period, and that we can see in 1950′ map. they built sherman mansions in the north side of sherman street, and a big park in the other side, including lake, trees, and childrens’ play area. They replace the cafe and the luandry to the norhteast corner, and built many stores opposite to them. addionally they create a new line between the stores and sherman park. finally they built high buildings of flats along the west side.
