The diagrams below illustrates the plan of Stokeford village between 1930 and 2010.
Overall, it is evident that the layout of Stokeford village in 1930 looked different from that in 2010, particularly accommodations and facilities.
According to the 1930 map, a river flowed from the northeast to the southwest. A track ran from the north, center to the south across a bridge, which was located at the intersection area between the bridge the track in the north. The first farmland was situated to the southwest next to the river. Another farmland was positioned to the northwest near a primary school. A garden area was in the center of village. The primary school was located to the north of the garden area. Two shops were situated opposite the primary school. A post office and two houses were in the south of those shops. Also, three houses were situated to the north of shops. Four houses were located to across the track of those three houses. Lastly, one house was in between the primary school and the garden area.
Following to the 2010 layout, the river, the bridge, and the post office remained constant. The garden area was replaced by a retirement home. The school was extended to the east, which was larger than the previous school. The track was redevelopment and split into east, west, before running to the retirement home. Then, it was constructed in to a square track, which was in opposite the retirement home. Lastly, housing sections were located throughout the new track.
