Presently, the town features a main road running horizontally with shops lining its north side, flanked by countryside to the north and housing to the south, including a park to the southeast and a school to the southwest, both housing zones are divided by the main road. The planned development includes a significant transformation with a new dual carriageway surrounding the town center, a bus station, shopping center, car park, and housing development on the north side, a combination of pedestrians-only street and demolition of existing shops lining the main road, additional housing and new housing areas in the northeast and southeast, and the school and park maintained in the southwest and southeast.

The map illustrate the central area of a town known as Islip and it’s plan for future development.
Overall, as of now the city is not much developed. it only has basic things such as, shops, park, school and some residential area. However, the plan includes a lot of improvement for instance, bus station, car park, footpaths and new housings.
Currently, the city is not much developed. It lacks some important things. It has just 2 shops in north and south side of the main road and some houses on the southern side of the city. The south east corner has a park, while the south west corner has a school.
Meanwhile, the new plan has added a lot of things. A dual carriageway road which will circle around the whole city. The shop which was before on the northern side of the main road, will become a shopping center. A car park and a bus station will also be there with a footpath just around the shopping mall. The school will remain on it’s previous location, whereas the new residential area will be moved to the north east side, which will connect with the main road .
