The given maps compare the Nelson town in the year 2000 and present.
Overall, it is visible that many changes and advancement has occured in the present map including new installments and rules for pedestrians and also replacing some shops for the customers convenience.
It is noticable that there were not much facility for the people of the Nelson town in the year 2000. There was a city centre in the middle of the town surrounded by old market in west, train station in northwest and university in north with few trees in the side of the university. There was also an empty port in the south of the map. Conversely, many new facilities and enhancements has adopted by the town in the present including bike rental scheme inside the city centre, hall of residence, new shopping centre, new covered market, tramline connecting city centre and university, bars and clubs with restaurant in the port. Also replacing old market with new shop, shifting train station near city centre, and lastly roads for pedestrians only. There is clearly vast difference between the map of 2000 and of present where it is clear that the present desing of the map is prepared for the betterment of customers and their convenience in daily life which will help to make their life more enhanced.
