The maps provide information about the current layout of a civic center and its proposed future development. Overall, the civic center will undergo significant redevelopment, with several buildings being relocated and the introduction of new entertainment facilities. Notably, the general layout will remain unchanged, and the car parks will be moved underground.
Starting with the present layout of the center, two car parks are situated in the norther corners of the center. The large building between carparking areas is intended for cinema. Moreover, on the other side of the center, exhibition center, council offices and the town hall are alternately situated. Along the easter corner of the civic center, there are currently a shopping mall and a library.
However, under the proposed plan for a complete makeover, the site will be transformed into a residential area, with various amenities. The car parks will be replaced underground to the area opposite the town hall. Consequently, a café and a hotel with a restaurant will be constructed in place of the two squares. The cinema remains unaltered. Furthermore, the council offices are set to be transferred to the area currently occupied by the exhibition space, which will be rebuilt on the site of the library.
