The maps depict changes that were done to Stratford in preparation for the 2012 London Olympic Games from 2007 to 2012.
Briefly, the area faced many significant reformarions during this period of time; however, some zones weren’t altered.
Starting from the north of the map, the town area, which was situated there, didn’t have any changes and also the shoping center along with the train station weren’t transformed. Nonetheless, a new aquatics center was built in the north-west of the map. Moving south, river Lea wasn’t changed; nevertheless, there were many new facilities built around this geographical landmark, such as a road that connects all of new areas. The velodrome and the basketball arena were built on the north side of the river and these stadiums are connected with new hockey arena across the river. Moving south, warehouses and factories were demolished and a hude olimpic stadium appeared on its place. Moreover, the London walk road also leads to this zone, since it is the largest stadium of all.
