There is a comparison between two maps of a coastal town known as Pentland, which underwent a number of constructions between 1950 and 2007. Overall, during the 57 years, the coastal town became a more habitable place for people.
Starting with the first image, in 1950 the coastal town had roads that separated the town into four sections. On the east side of the road, there was a car park, and the industrial area was situated opposite the parking lot. Furthermore, each side of the roads was covered with grassland. In the northern part of the town, there was the sea.
Moving on to the second picture, Pentland became a more social and habitable place for people. Noticeably, from the map, the sea turned into a yacht marina. On the west side of the yacht marina, there was a park, including apartments that are on the east side. The town displaced the grasslands with a swimming pool and a multi-story car park in the north-west part of the road, a cinema in the south-west side, and houses in the south-east of the road. Finally, many shops were placed in front of the houses.
