The two maps illustrate data about the changes of a Pentland town, from 1950 to 2007.
In general, the maps compares the changes of a coastal town, throughout 17 years. In contrast, there were more modifications in 2007 than 1950.
It is clear from the left site map that, the town had nothing that resembled a community hub apart from an industrial area and a car park. Moreover, there was a grassland on the east side of the Pentland town and a sea on the north side. Furthermore, in 1950 the roads were located in the middle of the area, by 2007 they remained the same.
Examining the right site map taht, more conveniences have been built for the population of the Pentland town in 2007. Predominantly, there were apartments and shopping centres on the north and east side of a town. Turning to the west side, there was a park, a swimming pool, a multi-storey car park and a cinema. In addition, the town had a yacht marina alongside the roads.
